Schedule
Meet your guide at 8.20am at the bottom station of Matterhorn Express cable car. In just 10 minutes, the cable car will take you up to Furi, from where you will depart on a 15-minute hike to reach your ice climbing location (Blatten, Furi, or Schweigmatten, depending on conditions). You will have two to three hours to try your hand at ice climbing—until your forearms burn! You will be back at the village in the early afternoon.
Registration
As early as possible, i. e. approximately 1 or 2 weeks in advance; short-term registration is possible subject to availability.

Insurance
All participants must arrange their own insurance.


Requirements
You are physically fit and are interested in discovering this exhilerating sport.

Please note
The minimum age for participating in our ice climbing courses is approx. 12 years. Please wear warm clothes and bring an extra pair of gloves!

Equipment
Please bring ankle-high climbing boots with a stiff rubber outsole, as well as ice climbing crampons (available for rent from various sports shops in Zermatt), warm winter clothing, a light snack and hot tea (see list).
Your mountain guide will bring you a climbing harness and a helmet.
