Details

The Gorner gorge, situated between Furi (1,865m) and Zermatt (1,620m), is one of nature's unique wonders, boasting spectacular rock formations such as glacial mills and water-polished rocks. The downward traverse of the gorge is about 1km long and takes approximately three to four hours to complete. The entire dynamic fixed rope route features steel cables and iron steps permanently fixed to the rocks. The highlights of the traverse are three abseil stations, three zip lines (the longest of which is 80 metres), one pendulum swing and several suspension bridges, which will give you the ultimate adrenaline rush. You will be secured throughout the entire tour and reach its end without getting your feet wet.

The gorge adventure is available in pretty much every weather and all year round!

Equipment
Your mountain guide will bring all the necessary equipment. Please wear trekking or hiking boots with a well-profiled outsole.  Since temperatures inside the gorge are oftentimes lower than on the outside, we recommend wearing an additional layer (e. g. a rain coat or windproof jacket) according to overall temperatures, as well as a pair of light gloves. We also recommend bringing a small backpack to carry a light snack (beverage and cereal bar or similar).
